The hip hop star is said to be feeling better following an apparent seizure that resulted in him being in a coma according to reports.

Lil Wayne has sent his thanks to fans and says he’s now on the mend following a seizure.

The rap star was initially taken to a Los Angela’s hospital following the episode, where he reportedly remained overnight but was readmitted later according to celeb news site TMZ.

The 30-year-old star; of whom US President Barack Obama is a fan, told concerned admirers via his Twitter account: “I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.”

Lil Wayne; real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. is reported to have a history of seizures and this latest one required the hip hop star to be induced into a coma according to TMZ but rapper Mack Maine, who is a friend of the rapper insisted that he was watching basketball from hospital bed.

It is unclear at this stage what caused the seizure.

Lil Wayne now has 109 appearances on the Billboard’s Hot 100 pop chart, overtaking the king of Rock Elvis Presley’s previous record.
